Notification indicator

We have a parish app with many group notifications. When a notification is sent to one group, it is not clear to those who use the app which group it has gone to. As a result, they have to click on all the groups to find it. Is it possible when a notification is sent to a group for that group to be highlighted in some way. This facility is available with the app used by our local school

aaah you mean an unread notification indicator against the group as opposed to the general indicator? If this is the case then I'd guess its a feature request ?

I agree with this. What I have done to know what goes out is choose specific times for each group so I can also share screenshots on social media and know what group they belong to.

This is a huge gap in the notifications feature (and has been for a long time). The unread messages indicator only leads you to the part of the inbox where you can see the list of possible groups you are a subscriber to... the receiver has no idea where the message is. Worse yet, looking in any inbox will clear the unread indicator - even if you never found the message. It makes the feature of multiple groups nearly useless if the receiver does not open the message from their device's notifications screen.

Users have the option which group they choose to be in the system does alert those users in their groups

Claire Moffatt-Lonsdale: That only helps if users only ever signup for one group. Most grouping systems are not A or B or C... and often there's an ALL group. Without knowing which group inbox has an unread message, it's almost useless.

Timothy Amey: My feedback relates to Users knowing what they have already chosen to be in, therefore if I am alerted, I only go to my specific group. I take your pount though.

Claire Moffatt-Lonsdale: I hear you - this will certainly work if people only signup for one group. In our usage, people are often members of more than one... well, they would be if we could make this part of the App usable. We had to abandon the usage of it for text messaging instead - years of waiting for them to fix it was going nowhere.

Timothy Amey: Yes, again it does work for multple groups but you need to know whay yoy are in
Timothy Amey
Claire Moffatt-Lonsdale: Maybe I am confusing the issue... let's say you have 5 groups available and some of your users signup for more than one. When they get a message, they do not have any idea which one of those holds the message. Checking each of them, while an option, is clumsy. But worse yet, it also clears the 'unread' notification no matter which group you check. It needs to carry the unread flag all the way to the message to be useful for any situation where there's any potential that a user would be in more than one group. We have that issue. A lot.
